Woodland Stairs and Millwork was founded in
1988 as a small shop on Woodland Avenue in Modesto, CA. During
the early years (88-90) the majority of its revenue came from
interior finish carpentry, in both production and custom homes.
As the demand for wood stair railings became apparent, the
company's focus shifted towards stair railings as its primary
business.
By 1994 Woodland had
outgrown its small shop and office and had relocated to Beech
Street in Modesto, just a few miles from its original location.
With a larger shop and office at its disposal Woodland was
able to increase production significantly, serving both the
Bay Area as well as the Central Valley. During this time Woodland
expanded to include general construction, cabinets, and hardwood
flooring.
In March of 2001, Woodland
Stairs and Millwork moved again, this time to its current
location on Culpepper Ave in Modesto where it occupies a spacious
shop and office showroom. During this time a satellite shop
in Livermore was started to concentrate on custom stair installations
in the Bay Area. With the move to Culpepper, Woodland has
renewed its focus on its primary business concern, stair railings
for new construction.
